It was another intense day of poker action at the Casino Gran Via for Day 2 of the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event.

After the final starting flight had finished earlier in the day, the field had reached a total of 514 players. By the end of eleven levels, not only had the bubble burst but just 39 players remain.

The chip leader heading into the final day appears to be Nicolae Suciu who moved above two million shortly before the bubble burst, and more than doubled it before the end of play and will be in a strong position to reach the final table on Day 3.

Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

According to former tablemate Josh Manley, 888poker Ambassador Vivian Saliba was recently eliminated form the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event short of the money after getting in her last 120,000 in from early position.

The big blind called and the cards were turned over. Saliba held {k-}{6-} suited while the big blind was ahead with {10-}{10-}. The {10-}{2-}{2-} flop saw him make a full house and there was no miracle comeback, with Saliba sent to the exit.

Blind on blind, Andres Pineiro was all in for a small amount holding {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds} against the {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds} of defending 888poker LIVE Madrid champion Abel Aspas.

The flop {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} gave Pineiro a pair but the turn {k-Spades} gave Aspas the nut flush draw. The river {a-Diamonds} was enough, however, forhim to eliminate Pineiro
