Pop Takes Out Three in Two Hands
David Hu was forced all in from the big blind as Bogdan Pop called under the gun. Another opponent in early position then moved all in for 50,000 and Pop called to put both opponents at risk.
David Hu: 9♦7♠
Early-Position Player: Q♠Q♦
Bogdan Pop: A♣K♠
The early-position player remained ahead with his queens on the 2♠10♣6♠ flop, but Pop spiked the A♦ on the turn to make top pair. The river was the 6♥ and Pop scored the double knockout.
The next hand, Dan Hoidahl bet 6,500 from the hijack on a flop of K♥5♦5♣ and Pop called in the big blind, as did another opponent in middle position.
The turn was the 3♥ and the middle-position player moved all in for 10,100. Hoidahl folded, but Pop snap-called with A♠5♠ for trips. The at-risk player had K♦7♦ and needed to improve to stay alive, but he missed the Q♦ river and Pop sent another player to the rail.
