Banda Makes a Big Hero Call to Double
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
There was nearly 20,000 in the pot as Fernando Banda and an opponent went to the turn on a board of 7♦6♦6♥5♠. Banda then bet 11,500 from under the gun and his opponent called in the small blind.
The river was the 9♠ and the small blind moved all in. Banda tanked for a few minutes before eventually calling for 31,000. His opponent showed A♥5♥ for two pair, but Banda had A♦A♠ to win the pot and double up, leaving his opponent with just one 100 chip left.
