Carreras Picks Up Aces to Double Off Panto; Minzariu Gets Kings Against Valls
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Bernat Carreras got his last 150,000 in the middle from the big blind as Mauro Panto put him at risk on the button.
Bernat Carreras: A♠A♦
Mauro Panto: 10♠7♣
Carreras hit top set on the A♥Q♥5♣ flop and Panto was left drawing dead after the 2♣ turn. The river was the 10♣ and Carreras doubled up.
At the same time at another table, Paul Minzariu was tangled in a massive pot against Gabriel Valls as both players had all their chips in the middle, Minzariu in the cutoff and Valls in the big blind.
Minzariu had K♥K♦ while Valls could only show two tens and failed to improve on the 6♣4♦2♥3♠9♥ board. The stacks were counted down and Valls had 520,000 remaining. Minzariu had him covered and Valls was sent to the rail.
"Huge pot," Minzariu said.
