It’s already been an action-packed week as the 888poker Live crew descended on Glasgow for the first time. Now it’s time to crown a champion when the final table of the inaugural 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event begins at 1 p.m. local time.
Daniel Johnson built up a massive chip lead late yesterday and begins the final table with 3,455,000. He’s followed by Harry Cattanach (2,320,000) and Martin Byrne (1,615,000).

Right behind them is a player with experience at big final tables. Dean Lyall has two WSOP final tables on his resume and more than $1.6 million in live earnings. He’ll be looking to add a trophy and £58,130 to that record today as he begins as the fourth member of the million-chip club with 1,195,000. Michael Broadhurst (950,000), Zbigniew Wieczorek (785,000), and "GK" (735,000) are in the middle of the pack, while Scottish businessman and lord William Haughey (710,000), who already owns a WSOP Main Event bracelet courtesy of Peter Eastgate, is in eighth place. Jack Moore (485,000) rounds out the final table as the short stack.
The action picks up with 30 minutes remaining in Level 26 with blinds of 20,000-40,000 and a 40,000 big blind ante. Levels will be 60 minutes for the duration of the tournament. The final nine have already locked up £5,780 for making it this far out of a field of 407. The final table will be streamed on a 30-minute delay on 888poker’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

On the first hand of the final table, Dean Lyall raised to 80,000 under the gun with K♥J♦ and Martin Byrne called in the cutoff.
Both players checked the Q♣6♠4♣ flop. Lyall then bet 85,000 on the 10♣ turn and Byrne called.
The river was the 8♣ and Lyall fired again with his missed straight draw, putting out 265,000. Byrne folded 9♠9♥ and Lyall took the pot.

Jack Moore raised to 80,000 under the gun with K♣Q♣ and "GK" defended A♠2♣ in the big blind.
Moore hit top pair on the K♦5♦3♥ flop and continued for 40,000. "GK" called with a straight draw and the Q♥ turn improved Moore to two pair.
He then moved all in for 365,000 and "GK" folded.

Chip leader Daniel Johnson got involved for the first time at the final table as he opened to 80,000 under the gun. Dean Lyall called in the cutoff, while "GK" then moved all in for 555,000 on the button. Johnson called and Lyall got out of the way.

"GK" was racing for his tournament life but fell behind on the A♣4♠2♣ flop as Johnson hit top pair. The 10♣ turn gave "GK" outs to a flush, but he missed the 5♥ river and became the first casualty of the final table.

On the hand after the elimination of "GK," action folded around to William Haughey who moved all in for 630,000 in the small blind. Daniel Johnson snap-called in the big blind with a chance to take out yet another opponent.

It was another race, and Johnson pulled in front once more on the K♣8♠5♣ with top pair. The rest of the board ran out 4♠Q♠ and Baron Haughey was sent to the rail in eighth place.
