Day 1bc Started
Dmitri Dudakov was the last man standing after yesterday’s opening flight. Now a new crop of players will try to join him when Day 1b of the £888 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event begins at 1 p.m. local time.
The Estonian native wiped out the rest of the field yesterday and was the only one to advance out of eight total entries, amassing all of the 240,000 in play. While he has a few days off to sit on his chip lead, players will once again descend on the Grosvenor Casino Merchant City to do battle on the second of six starting flights.

Players begin with a 30,000 starting stack and will play 14 40-minute levels. There is a 15-minute break after every three levels. Unlimited reentries are allowed throughout the day, with late registration open until the start of Day 2 on March 22 at 5 p.m. This also isn’t the only opportunity to jump into the field today. The turbo Day 1c flight, with 20-minute levels, begins later tonight at 9 p.m. There are two more opening flights tomorrow, as well as another turbo Day 1f on March 22 at 11 a.m.

Day 2 of the High Roller is also taking place today, with 17 players out of 60 total entries still alive. British pro Andrew Hulme, who has nearly $4 million in live earnings and is coming off a victory in the UK Open in Coventry a few weeks ago, built up a massive chip lead with 1,046,000. Other players still in contention include Jack Hardcastle (594,000), Matthew Davenport (212,000), and Robbie Bull (128,000) as late registration remains open until the start of the day at noon.
Today's field should be significantly larger than yesterday's. The 888poker team has arrived in Glasgow, with Ian Simpson, Vivian Saliba, and Lucia Navarro among those in town and sure to take a shot at the title over the coming days. Stay tuned as PokerNews provides all the action from Day 1b of the inaugural 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event.
