Day 1a Started
For the first time, 888poker Live descends upon the windswept shores of Scotland and brings together some of the top names in the British poker scene when Day 1a of the inaugural £888 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event begins at noon local time.
Taking place at Grosvenor Casino Merchant City along the shores of the River Clyde, this event marks a new destination for the popular poker festival and a chance for players to take in the majesty of Scotland's largest metropolis.
The action starts with the first of six starting flights that take place over the next three days. Players begin with a 30,000 starting stack and will play 14 40-minute levels on Day 1a. Day 1b is tomorrow at 1 p.m. and again features 40-minute levels, as does Day 1d on March 21. There are also three turbo starting flights, Day 1c at 9 p.m. tomorrow, Day 1e at 8 p.m. on March 21, and Day 1f at 11 a.m. on March 22. All surviving players then combine for Day 2 on the 22nd at 5 p.m. Late registration remains open until the start of Day 2, with unlimited reentries allowed during the registration period.

Simpson will be back looking to bring home another trophy, while the rest of the 888poker team is sure to be well-represented in the field over the coming days.
Stay tuned as PokerNews brings all the action from the first-ever 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event.
