Cheng Priced In to Call as Katzenberger Scores a Big Double

James Mcaulay raised to 5,500 under the gun and Chen Cheng called in the hijack. Viktor Katzenberger then three-bet to 18,000 on the button and both opponents called.

Katzenberger continued for 12,500 on the Q♦7♠4♣ flop and Mcaulay quickly folded. Cheng, though, put in a raise to 36,000 to send Katzenberger deep into the tank.

Katzenberger considered the decision for a few minutes until moving all in for 55,000. Cheng asked for a count and also tanked for a moment until eventually calling.

Katzenberger had gotten Cheng to call with just jack-high as he was a big favorite to double up. The rest of the board ran out 5♦6♠ and Cheng handed over the big pot.
