Gang Wang moved all in for 120,000 under the gun and Khanh Nguyen stuck in his last 71,000 from the hijack. Mario Trattou was in the small blind and took a few moments before folding, later saying he had two eights.
Khanh Nguyen: 4♣4♥
Gang Wang: A♠9♠
The 9♥2♣Q♦ flop gave Wang the lead with nines, while the 9♣ turn improved him to trips. "That's why you fold eights. No eight," Trattou pleaded, and the river was the 10♣ as Trattou celebrated more than Wang, who was the one to score the knockout.

Mihail Zglavoci moved all in for 50,000 from middle position and Paul Vas Nunes called in the cutoff.
Mihail Zglavoci: A♠8♥
Paul Vas Nunes: A♦K♠
Vas Nunes hit top pair on the K♦Q♥2♦ flop and Zglavoci was already standing up from his chair as the 10♠ fell on the turn. The river was the J♠ and both players ended up with a straight to split the pot.
"Stand up works every time," tablemate Asmat Asghar said.
Zglavoci then moved all in again the next hand as Vas Nunes took another shot at taking him out.
Mihail Zglavoci: K♣9♣
Paul Vas Nunes: K♠Q♠
Zglavoci was dominated again as the 8♠8♦7♦ flop left open the possibility of another chop. The 4♣ turn was no help, while Zglavoci couldn't catch a miracle this time on the 6♥ river and was eliminated.
At another table, Ciaran McCullagh was all in for 40,000 from the button and up against Fraser Bellamy in the cutoff.
Ciaran McCullagh: A♣J♦
Fraser Bellamy: A♥5♣
Bellamy came from behind on the Q♥9♦5♥4♥4♦ board to make two pair, earning him the pot and sending McCullagh to the rail.

"My range is very condensed," John Duthie said as he raised to 41,000 in the hijack, leaving 10,000 behind. "Take as long as you like," he told big blind Min Ji after action folded to him.
"I have a good hand. A good Omaha hand," Ji said, taking a minute before calling. The flop came 9♥4♦7♠ and Duthie committed his last chips while Ji called.
At another table, Andrei Teodorescu was all in for 31,000 from the button and up against Akshat Bansal in the big blind.
Andrei Teodorescu: J♣10♦
Akshat Bansal: A♦7♦
Teodorescu took the lead with two pair on the K♣K♦J♠ flop, while the turn was the Q♠. The river, though, was the Q♣ to counterfeit Teodorescu's jack and earn Bansal the knockout with his ace.
"That was very unusual," tablemate Fraser Bellamy said.
Ji and Duthie then turned over their cards.
John Duthie: K♥Q♦
Min Ji: J♠10♠
Duthie was ahead with his king as the turn came the 2♦, but Ji hit the J♥ on the river to make a pair and send Duthie to the rail on the money bubble.
The remaining 44 players are in the money.

"All-in and a call on Table 2," cried the dealer. When we arrived at the table, we discovered that Asmat Asghar and Liam Mellon had committed their stacks preflop as the money bubble approached.
Mellon: K♣Q♣
Asghar: Q♠J♦
The dealer fanned the 10♥K♦4♦ flop before he placed the 10♠ on the turn. Asghar must not have fancied his chances at this point because he rose from his seat. However, he promptly sat down when a Broadway-completing A♥ appeared on the river, which kept Asghar in the Main Event, but sent Mellon home.

Heads-up on a flop of Q♣2♥5♥, Calogero Morreale bet 10,000 from under the gun before Ravi Sheth raised to 33,000 in the big blind. Morreale called.
Both players checked the 5♠ turn. Sheth then led out for 22,000 on the 4♣ river, and Morreale quickly called with 10♥10♦. Sheth sent his cards into the muck as Morreale took the pot.
Both players are sitting on around 500,000 and contending for the tournament chip lead.

Paul Vas Nunes raised to 16,000 under the gun, Mitchell Johnson moved all in for 90,000 in the cutoff, and Vas Nunes called.
Mitchell Johnson: J♦J♠
Paul Vas Nunes: A♣8♣
The 6♥5♠9♥ flop gave Vas Nunes a straight draw, but Johnson's jacks held on through the 5♥ turn and Q♣ river to earn him a double up.

Many poker players dream of winning their way into a major live poker tournament, and Robert Clarke managed to do just that. Clarke entered a freeroll online at 888poker, progressed from that into a final, and won that for a £1,250 seat.
Unfortunately, our freeroll hero busted before the money places, but before the Poker Gods turned on him, he was kind enough to tell his story to PokerNews.
