Defending Champion Off to Dream Start

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Mazalahedwa Bako raised to 600 on the button and called when Jamie Morris put in a small three-bet to 1,500 from the big blind.

Morris continued for 2,000 on the 493 flop, which Bako called. After Morris checked the 4 turn, Bako then took the initiative with a bet of 6,000. Morris called, but led out for 8,000 on the 5 river.

Bako was having none of it and promptly shoved his stack of 39,000 in the middle. Morris spent some time in the tank before he called with the covering stack.

Bako stood up as he tabled Q10 for queen-high. Morris had KK for an overpair, and he raked in the huge pot to end up with over double the starting stack.

Antoniazzi Regains With Top Pair

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Catching the tail end of a pot between Alejandro Sanchez in the big blind and Daniele Antoniazzi in the hijack, Sanchez checked the 563K8 river over to Antoniazzi.

Antoniazzi then made a relatively small bet of 2,500 into the pot of 11,000, which Sanchez called after some thought. Antoniazzi tabled KJ for top pair.

Sanchez tapped the table and eventually mucked his cards to send the pot to his opponent.

Chrzaszcz Gets Paid Big

Level 2 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante
Alan Chrzaszcz
Alan Chrzaszcz

Picking up the action on a J43K turn, Alan Chrzaszcz checked from the small blind and Terelle Tavares followed suit under the gun. Owain Casey then bet 2,000 into the pot of 3,700, which Chrzaszcz raised to 5,000.

Tavares called, and so did Casey. The 6 was placed on the river, prompting Chrzaszcz to pile in a hefty bet of 16,000. Tavares called after some thought, and Casey put in chips as well for a three-way showdown.

Chrzaszcz tabled 33 for a flopped set, and both opponents mucked their cards in defeat.

Locket Leads With Success

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Andrew Weir open-raised to 1,100 under the gun. Jack Dean called in late position, and Stephen Lockett defended his big blind. The 10106 flop was checked to Dean, who fired a bet of 1,200.

Both opponents called to the 3 turn, where Lockett promptly led out for 3,500. Weir and Dean both quickly folded, shipping the pot to Lockett uncontested.

Wells Tables Early Nuts

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Declan Mcmanus in the cutoff and Richard Wells on the button had created a sizable pot of 6,000 when they arrived on the 54J62 river. Mcmanus added 2,000 extra with a bet, which Wells raised to 6,000.

After some thought, Mcmanus called. Wells tabled A3 for the nut flush, and Mcmanus could only shake his head as he showed 52 for a lower flush.
