Simpson Bets Big on the River; Lyall Coolers Mikhail For a Big Pot
Level 1
: Blinds 200/500, 500 ante
Heads-up on a board of 9♥10♣10♦4♥, Ian Simpson bet 4,000 from the big blind and Peter Stewart called on the button.
The river was the Q♣ and Simpson led out for another 15,500. Stewart quickly folded this time.
At another table, Dean Lyall and Andrew Mikhail arrived at the river with the board showing K♥9♥2♠5♥7♠. Mikhail then bet 5,000 from the button, but Lyall came back with a raise to 25,000 in the cutoff.
Mikhail called, and Lyall showed 8♥6♥ for a flush. "2-3 of hearts. I didn't want you to do that. F**king hell," Mikhail said as he mucked.
