Adam Makes a Big Hold to Tripe
Level 6
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Matthew Adam bet 7,000 on a flop of 8♥4♣Q♥ and Martin Lechner raised to 20,000 on the button. David Gallagher then moved all in for 65,000 in the small blind, Adam also shoved for 45,000, and Lechner snap-called to put both opponents at risk.
Matthew Adam: A♠A♦
David Gallagher: 6♥4♥
Martin Lechner: 10♥9♥
Adam was ahead with his aces, while both opponents had a flush draw and Lechner had a straight draw. The 9♣ turn gave Lechner more outs with a pair, but Adam dodged the 3♣ on the river to secure the triple up. Lechner took the side pot to send Gallagher to the rail.
"How do you dodge that?" David Docherty said to Adam.
