McAulay Still Running Hot
Level 13
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Paul McAulay raised to 13,000 in middle position and Peter Stewart called on the button. Brandon Sheils then three-bet to 35,000 in the big blind, and McAulay four-bet to 125,000. Stewart got out of the way, but Sheils moved all in for 250,000. McAulay snap-called.
Brandon Sheils: A♦A♥
Paul McAulay: Q♣Q♦
Sheils had woken up with aces and was poised for a double up until the flop brought K♠Q♠8♣, giving McAulay a set and the lead. The turn was the 4♣, while the K♣ river improved McAulay to a full house and sent Sheils to the rail.
