Roddy MacNeil raised to 1,500 under the gun and was called by Ian Simpson on the button and Brandon Sheils in the small blind.

Action checked around to Simpson on the 8QJ flop, and he bet 2,000. Only MacNeil called.

888poker Live Glasgow Festival Kicks Off With the £1,650 High Roller at 3 p.m.

Before the 888poker Live Glasgow Main Event begins tomorrow, an exclusive list of some of the top names in the British poker community will gather inside the Grosvenor Casino Merchant City for the £1,650 High Roller today at 3 p.m. local time.

Maogen Fu won this event last year, defeating a field of 72 players to earn £28,500 out of the £102,590 prize pool. David Docherty, Andrew Hulme, and Jack Hardcastle were also among those making a run to the final table. The event capped off an incredible festival for Fu, who also won the Big Shot event and finished 13th in the Main Event.

The High Roller features a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players begin with a 100,000 starting stack. Day 1 will consist of 12 40-minute levels, with a break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 6. Late registration remains open until the start of Day 2 tomorrow at noon. Players are incentivized to take their seats right from the start, as anyone joining on Level 1 will be entered into a last-longer bet for a free seat in the Main Event.
