De La Fuente Stuns Di Giacomo on the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alberto De La Fuente raised to 4,000 under the gun, Claudio Di Giacomo three-bet to 12,000 in early position, and De La Fuente called.

The flop came J107 and Di Giacomo continued for 8,000. De La Fuente called, and the 8 fell on the turn.

Di Giacomo then bet 15,000, but this time De La Fuente came back with an all-in shove. Di Giacomo snap-called for 60,000.

Di Giacomo showed A9 for a straight, while De La Fuente was on a draw holding KQ. The 9 river completed De La Fuente's straight, and Di Giacomo could only laugh as he left his chips behind and made his exit, leaving De La Fuente to reach over and grab them from his now-empty seat.

Friberg wouldn't have any luck on this hand, as CasinORoyale ended up with two pair on the A937K board to earn the double up.

Wu Stacks Big After Busting Iulian on the River

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Iulian moved all in for 25,000 in the cutoff, Daniel Wu grabbed some of his yellow 25,000 chips and splashed them in the pot from the button, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Alex Iulian: 66 All in
Daniel Wu: A10

Iulian remained in the lead on the 7KJ9 board, but Wu hit the 10 on the river to make a pair and send Iulian to the rail.

With that pot, Wu moved up past 300,000 and in contention for the chip lead.

Vicente Hits a Miracle to Survive

Level 11 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

A player in middle position raised to 3,500 and Antonio Vicente called in the hijack, as did the button. The small blind then three-bet to 14,000, and only Vicente and the button called.

The small blind bet 15,000 on the K25 flop, and only Vicente called. The turn was the Q and the small blind moved all in. Vicente quickly splashed in his last 30,000 and turned over JJ, but his opponent had KQ for top two pair.

Vicente was drawing to only two outs to stay alive, and he hit one on the J river to double up. He was still shaking his head in disbelief as the pot was pushed to him.
