Miguel Marvare bet 500 from the button on a flop of J♥3♥10♥ before Narcis Olaru raised to 2,500 in the small blind. An opponent in early position called, as did Marvare.

The turn was the 9♦ and Olaru bet 5,500. Both opponents called, and the 3♣ fell on the river.

Action checked around to Marvare who moved all in for 26,300. Olaru quickly called, while the early-position player got out of the way.

Marvare showed 10♠3♠ for a rivered full house, and Olaru mucked 6♥2♥ for a flopped flush before handing over the big pot.

Francisco Togores, who bagged the chip lead on Day 1c of this event last year, just took his seat at this table, while last year's EPT Monte Carlo runner-up Khossein Kokhestani has also joined the field.

Marcos Blasts Ockenden Off a Flush

Around 8,000 was already in the middle as Peter Ockenden and Javier Marcos went to the turn on a board of 5♦K♦3♦J♠. Ockenden then bet 4,200 from the big blind, and Marcos called in the hijack.

Ockenden bet another 6,300 on the 4♠ river, but this time Marcos came back with a raise to 17,000. Ockenden took a minute before folding. "You must have better," he said to Marcos, admitting he had flopped a flush.

"Maybe I folded the best hand," Ockenden added while Marcos raked in the pot.
