Butler Busts But Promptly Reenters

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

The preflop action escaped us but we do know that Don Butler got his stack of roughly 14,000 all in and was at risk against Gregory Aumann.

Butler: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Aumann: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It was a flip but Butler needed to improve to stay alive. That proved easier said than done as the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Bulter busted on the hand but immediately headed to the cashier cage to reenter.

Parrish Doesn't Perish Quite Yet

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Action folded to the player in the small blind who raised to 1,800. Joe Parrish was in the big and three-bet all in for 8,100 more. The small blind didn't seem excited about it but made the call nonetheless.

Small Blind: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Parrish: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Parrish got it in good but the {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Spades} was a sweat as his opponent flopped an open-ended straight draw.

Fortunately for Parrish, both the {2-Diamonds} turn and {9-Diamonds} river were bricks and his ace kicked gave him the pot.

Coltharp Makes Big Call to Double Through Robinson

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Justin Coltharp
Justin Coltharp

Justin Coltharp raised to 1,500 from the cutoff and Jordan Robinson called out of the small blind to see a {2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop.

Robinson checked and Coltharp continued for 3,100. Robinson then woke up with a check-raise to 8,100 and Coltharp made the call to see the {5-Clubs} turn.

Robinson moved all in for 13,400 and Coltharp thought for a bit before calling off for 11,500.

"I just have a big draw," Robinson said before the cards were turned up.

Robinson: {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Coltharp: {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Indeed, Robinson held a double belly buster straight draw, a flush draw, and two overs. Unfortunately for him, he missed as the {Q-Diamonds} bricked the turn to give Coltharp the double.

Quick Win for Quirk

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Mark Winchell opened for 1,500 under the gun and Shane Wagers called from early position. Another player flatted before Matt Quirk came along from the small blind to make it four-way action to the {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop.

All players checked, the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Diamonds}, and Quirk led out for 2,200. That's all it took as one by one the trio of players behind him folded their hands.

Dianaty Sends Faust to the Rail

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Tom Faust opened for 1,100 from middle position and the player in the hijack called. Anthony Dianaty then three-bet to 5,700 from the button, both blinds folded, and Faust four-bet all in for 11,700. The hijack got out of the way and Dianaty quickly called.

Dianaty: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Faust: {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}

It was a bad spot for Faust and he was left drawing dead on the turn as the board ran out a dry {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}.

Norman Doesn't Budge

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player in middle position opened for 1,200 and Sherman Supley called from the lojack. Edie Norman flatted from the hijack, the button called, and the big blind did the same to make it five-way action to the {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop.

Two checks saw Supley bet 3,000 and only Norman called to see the {5-Spades} turn.

Supley bet another 3,000 and again Norman called. When the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river, both players checked and Supley tabled the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} for top pair with an up-and-down straight draw. It was no good however as Norman held two pair with her {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}.
