Lunardi Busts on Last Hand of Day

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

On the final hand of the day, Kristian Lunardi’s tournament has come crashing down in one giant, fatal blow.

David Zhao opened with a late-position raise, before Lunardi three-bet from the blinds. Zhao four-bet, Lunardi shoved and Zhao made the call.

Zhao: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Lunardi: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a huge preflop clash with 200,000 in the middle in a make-or-break coinflip to end the day. Lunardi would need some help but the board bricked out {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to leave him empty-handed as Zhao catapults himself into one of the chip leaders with around 240,000 to end the day.
