In the first hand, Pravin Harji opened with a bet of 13,500, which was called by Graeme Putt on the button. With the option on Geoff Smith, he raised to 30,000 from the small blind. Only Harji called to see the flop come . Smith instantly moved all in for 65,500 more, and was met with a quick fold.

In the next hand Emile Gissaud opened to 16,000 and was called by both Smith and Monica Eastick. The flop fell and Eastick threw out a bet of 20,000. Gissaud called, before Smith counted out a bet of 60,000 and placed it in the middle. Eastick got out of the way, leaving a decision for Gissaud. He sat back in his chair, before finally releasing his hand.
