Team Pros Surviving

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Our two Team PokerStars Pros who partook in today's action are still alive. Huang, who has had a bit of a roller coaster evening, is sitting steady on a little more than he started the day with, while Guillen is prospering with close to 50,000 in chips.

Handy Pot for Pedley

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Michael Pedley has recently raked in a handy little pot to see his chips move back towards the starting stack.

We arrived at the hand in question with Pedley and one opponent already on the river of a {7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades} board. Pedley was first to act and led out for 3,300. Pedley's opponent thought for a while, then called, and quickly mucked when Pedley showed down {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for three deuces.

Good Call from Weisner

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We recently arrived at Melanie Weisner's table with the poker pro from the USA involved in a big pot against one opponent. Weisner had the button and was faced with an all-in shove from her opponent on the river of a {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts} board. It was 2,500 to go and Wesiner though long and hard before flicking out the call.

At showdown, Weisner's opponent tabled {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes, which Weisner had out kicked with her {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. With that, one player was going home, while Weisner added more chips to her growing stack.

Far Away in the Poker Room

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The players are staring to hit the rail at a quick pace and we expect that most of the tables in the faraway poker room will be broken into the main gaming floor by the end of the night. Below is how some of the notable players are faring over in the poker room.

Raj No More

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We just found Raj Ramakrishnan on the rail and found out that he was eliminated from the tournament. Apparently Ramakrishnan got all his chips in when he hit two pair holding {k-}{q-}. Ramakrishnan's one opponent held {a-}{10-} - with a flush and straight draw. Unfortunately for Ramakrishnan the player made a flush and that was all she wrote.
