Cole's Aggression Rewarded

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Evan Cole opened the pot with a bet of 12,500 from the hijack, and was called by Linas Leonovas to his immediate right. The rest of the players got out of the way as the two saw the flop come {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Cole quickly threw out a continuation bet of 16,500 and was called as the {2-Clubs} dropped on the turn. Cole had no intention of stopping, as he bet out another 22,500. This time Leonovas took a minute, before making the call, as the {2-Diamonds} completed the board. Cole, almost motionless throughout the whole hand, reached for a large stack of chips, and bet out 56,500. Leonovas was in no hurry, turning his head towards Cole, and trying to get some kind of read. He counted out the call, and shuffled the chips on the table, before eventually mucking his cards, relinquishing the pot to Cole.

Wing Chipping Up

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Tom Wing opened to 10,000 from the cut-off as Iori Yogo joined in from the button. The flop came {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} as Wing casually threw out a continuation bet of 12,000. Again Yogo called with the {10-Spades} falling on the turn, as both checked to see the {9-Diamonds} complete the board. Wing reached for chips, and placed 21,000 in the middle, and after a minute of waiting, was rewarded the pot with a fold from Yogo.

Chrisanthopoulos Dodges Elimination

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We caught the action with around 60,000 in the pot and the board reading {3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{j-Spades} as Michael Chrisanthopoulos moved all in from middle position for his last 92,000 in chips. Alessio Maisano was the other player in the hand, and went into the tank for alomost a minute, before making the call as both players tabled their cards.

Chrisanthopoulos: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Maisano: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Chrisanthopoulos was in front with his top pair, but had to dodge any diamond, ace or nine which would bring victory to Maisano. The {2-Hearts} fell on the river, much to the excitement of Chrisanthopoulos, who tapped the table multiple times, before raking in the pot.

Tran Busts

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Cole MacLean opened with a bet of 11,000 from the cut-off, before Trung Tran moved all-in for just under 100,000 in chips from the small blind. The big blind folded instantly as MacLean made the call.

MacLean: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Tran: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The flop of {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} was a help for Tran, as he picked up outs to a straight. The {4-Clubs} gave him the lead, but opened up numerous outs for MacLean to take down the pot. Unfortunately for Tran, the river produced the {K-Spades} to give MacLean the better pair, sending Tran to the rail.

Marsland Mauled

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dale Marsland has been crippled and then eliminated in devastating fashion over on Table 25. The hand started with an early position raise to 12,000 with Marsland three-betting to 26,000. His opponent called before open-jamming on the flop of {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Marsland asked for a count and it was 143,000 which represented most of his own stack. After a minute of thought, Marsland committed to the call with {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} as his opponent showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}.

Marsland was in great shape, but things quickly got very dirty when the {K-Hearts} turn and {A-Hearts} river delivered four hearts on board to give his opponent a flush with the only heart.

Marsland was left with just 2,500 in pocket change which went into the pot next hand with {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}, but never returned as Edo Naftaly’s {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} was enough to take it down.

Allen is Ace

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dave Allen bet out 12,000 from under the gun, as the table folded around to the player in the big blind. He looked down at his cards, and instantly moved all in. Allen asked for a count, and after a minute of thought, made the call as both players tabled their cards.

Allen: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Allen’s opponent was in great shape with the pair of kings, but it would be the ace on the turn of the {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board that would end his day prematurely.

Healy's Ladies

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The player seated under the gun opted to move all-in for his remaining 75,000 in chips. Patrick Healy was to his immediate left, and casually made the call as the rest of the table mucked their hands.

Healy: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Opponent: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Board: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Healy flopped the {q-Clubs} to almost guarantee him the pot, but not before a small sweat, as his opponent all hit a set of eights on the turn. The river blanked, however, to see another play leave the tournament floor, as Healy moves up to 315,000 in chips.

Neilson Keeps Climbing

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Chrisanthopoulos opened for 12,000 from the hijack before being met with a raise to 26,000 from the player in the cut-off. Daniel Neilson wanted to end it right there, and four-bet to 60,000 in chips. The big blind, who was just covered by the bet, sat there thinking for over a minute, before finally releasing his hand, as the other two followed suit.

Neilson has moved up to just over 800,000 in chips.
