Welcome Back to Day 2 of the ANZPT Melbourne Repechage Main Event!
With three days of tough Day 1 action in the bag, it’s time for Day 2 to finally kick off at the 2013 PokerStars.net ANZPT Melbourne Repechage Main Event!
The 844 player field has been reduced to the 97 players hitting the felt today, with each vying for a piece of the AUD$844,000 prize-pool and each with their eyes on the victory and the AUD$181,250 to go along with it.
After his dominating day at the tables on Friday, it will be local Daniel Neilson who starts Day 2 as the chip-leader, sitting behind a monster 613,000-chip stack. Neilson will have a big lead over the next two biggest stacks of Anthony Hachem (386,000) and Edo Naftaly (416,000) who finished as Day 1a and Day 1b chip leaders.
Locals Cale MacLean, Josh Barrett, Fabian Craib, Michael Kanaan, Octavian Voegele, Gautam Dhingra and Dale Marsland are not far off the pace, as they’ll be making their presence felt from very beginning of play.
PokerNews will again be on the floor to provide all the coverage of Day 2 here in the Poker Room at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia so be sure to join us in just under an hours time!
