Ian Parnell Doubles

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

The action started with the player in the hijack raising to 1,650 in chips. Ian Parnell then bumped it up to 4,100 from the small blind. The bet was called after the big blind let go of his hand.

After the flop fell {2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{6-Spades} Parnell tossed out one 5,000-chip as his bet. His opponent thought for a moment before splashing in a raise to 21,000 which had Parnell covered. He snap called.

Parnell: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Parnell was in great shape with the over pair and held as the board ran out the {2-Clubs} and {7-Diamonds} to see him rise up to just short of 50,000 in chips.

Tony Tartaglia Eliminated By Min Jae Park In Brutal Fashion

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The dream of cashing in an ANZPT main event is over for Tony Tartaglia after a massive 100k pot went down.

On a board reading {6-}{7-}{3-}{8-} Park bet out 9,000 before being met with an all in from Tartaglia totalling 42,000 in chips. Park made the quick call before both players tabled their cards.

Tartaglia: {8-}{8-}
Park: {a-}{a-}

Tartaglia had turned the trump card and was in great shape to double with yet another set. However, an {a-} would drop on the river, resulting in Park catching a two-outer to take down the pot.

Tartaglia was left with only 150 in chips following the hand and was eliminated shortly after.

Park, who won the $1,000 6-max title at last year's Melbourne series, is the first player to 100,000 and is in great shape to make another deep sun in an ANZPT event.
