The Champ Chips Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a board reading {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} the player in middle position checked his option.

Reigning Aussie Millions Main Event champion Manny Stavropoulos then tossed out 1,700 from the button and was called shortly after.

Stavropoulos then rolled over {5-Spades}{2-Spades} for a flush, which was enough to take down the pot, as his opponent mucked his hand in disappointment.

Martin Rowe Wins Some Back

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Martin Rowe raised to 300 from the cut off and was called by Chen-An Lin in the small blind as well as the player on the big blind.

All three players checked the {8-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop before doing the same after the {5-Diamonds} dropped on the turn.

Lin checked his option for the third time after the dealer produced the {6-Spades} on the river. The player on the big blind thought for a moment before splashing out a bet totalling 800 in chips. Rowe stared his opponent down before tossing in a raise to 1,850 in chips. Lin quickly mucked, and was followed shortly after by the big blind, who opted to not commit more chips into the pot.
