Table 11 Counts

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

New Zealanders Jackson Zheng and Cole Swannack have both been joined by two notable names in Australian poker.

The first is Anthony Legg who earlier this year finished in 6th place in the Aussie Millions Main Event, collecting $235,000 for his efforts.

The other is Daniel Levy who had a very successful Joe Hachem Poker Challenge series a few months back here in the Crown Poker room.

After min cashing in the opening event, he went on to win the 6-max shot clock event a week later. He then went agonisingly close to winning the main event two days later, settling for second place, to none other then Australia Poker pro Jarred Graham.

Peter Aristidou Eliminated By Min Jae Park

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a board reading {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs} Min Jae Park tossed out 1,000 from the big blind and was instantly called by Peter Aristidou on the button.

The river brought the {6-Hearts} and Park immediately moved all in for 24,000 in chips. The bet had Aristidou covered, which forced him into a short tank.

"Alright! I have another tournament to play," announced Aristidou, before placing his chips forward signifying a call.

Park then rolled over his {5-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a full house which was enough to take down the pot.

Aristidou tossed his cards into the muck, before shaking Park's hand, and making his way out of the tournament floor.

Liam O'Rourke Pressures Andrew Scarf

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

2010 ANZPT Adelaide runner-up Andrew Scarf raised to 550 from middle position and was called by 2012 ANZPT Sydney runner-up Liam O'Rourke on the button as well as the player on the big blind.

The flop came down {10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and the big blind checked. Scarf threw out a continuation bet totalling 1,700 which was only called by O'Rourke.

Scarf then opted to check call a bet worth 3,800 after the {q-Spades} dropped on the turn. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and once again Scarf check, but mucked his hand, after O'Rourke pushed out an 8,500 chip bet.

O'Rourke moves up to 42,000 in chips and Scarf drops down to 14,900 in chips following the hand.

Chen-An Lin Can't Call

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

We arrived at the table to see the flop spread out {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

PokerStars Team Pro Chen-An Lin was thinking about his decision from middle position for a minute before betting out 1,600. His opponent in the cut off then instantly moved all in for 8,075 in chips.

The stack was cut out by the dealer for Lin to see. It didn't take long for Lin to muck his hand as he gave up on the hand.

Tony Tartaglia Setting Up A Dream Run

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

We walked past Tony Tartaglia's table to his chip stack moving in the right direction.

"Where were you before?" Tartaglia joked. "I had set over set and another two sets."

Tartaglia is sitting on 38,000 in chips midway through the fourth level and has built the foundation for a run at the cash and maiden title.

Reigning Champ Claws Back

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The player in middle position raised to 750 before reigning ANZPT Melbourne champion Edison Nguyen moved all in for his remaining 550 in chips. The small blind completed the call and the big blind folded.

Both the player in the small blind as well as the middle position then checked down the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board before "king-high" and "ace-high" were announced.

Nguyen then casually turned over his {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a straight which was good enough to take down the pot.

Nguyen moves up to 2,100 in chips following the hand.
