Paul Khoury Doubles Through James Obst

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

The action started with Shivan Abdine raising to 1,100 from under the gun and getting called by the player in middle position, Paul Khoury on the button as well as James Obst on the big blind.

The flop came down {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Obst and Abdine checked their options. The player in middle position the tossed out 2,500 in chips before Khoury bumped it up to 6,300. Obst paused for a moment before announcing all in for around 40,000 in chips, which had everyone covered.

Abdine quickly mucked his hand as the decision fell on the original raiser. He agonised over his decision before eventually mucking his hand. Khoury called with 11,925 chips in total.

Khoury: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Obst: {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Obst had the lead with the pair of eights, but it didn't last, as the {10-Diamonds} on the turn gave Khoury the lead with a higher pair. The {a-Spades} completed the board and Khoury won the hand seeing him welcome in a double up.

Luke Brabin Nearing The Top

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Luke Brabin has raced up to over 80,000 in chips after taking out a player.

Brabin raised pre flop and was called by his opponent in the blinds and both watched the flop come down {a-}{2-}{6-}.

A continuation bet was check called by Brabin's opponent before all the chips found there way into the middle on the turn.

Brabin was in front with his {a-}{q-} against his opponent's {a-}{8-} and faded the river to see him cruise up the leader board midway through the 5th level.

Paul Birman Cruising Along

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Paul Birman raised to 1,000 from middle position and was called by the player in the cut off as well as Rory Young in the small blind.

All three players checked the {6-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop resulting in the {10-Diamonds} dropping on the turn.

Young checked to Birman who placed out 1,500 in chips and was called by the player in the cut off. Young folded.

The {5-Hearts} completed the board and Birman confidently announced 1,500 once again and tossed in some more chips. His opponent wasn't interested and snap mucked his cards.
