Break for 13

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The 13 players are heading on a 10-minute break!

Still four more eliminations before we reach the final table.

Sekuloski Continues to Build

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Denis Sekuloski is continuing to grow his stack as he is making his opponents bleed chips.

We caught up with the action on the {8-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop with Sekuloski in position and betting 134,000. His opponent Chung Liew made the call to see the turn {A-Clubs}. Liew checked and Sekuloski bet 77,000 and Liew made a quick call. The river fell a {2-Spades} and both players checked and Sekuloski turned over the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for top two - it was good as he scooped in the pot.

Sekuloski has now moved over 1.8 million in chips.

Wilson Li Eliminated in 14th Place ($9,000)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Wilson Li has been eliminated after losing a flip.

A raise by David O’Brien from under-the-gun to 60,000 was met by a shove from Li in middle position to 161,000. After tanking for close to three minutes O’Brien made the call for 101,000 more and showed the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Li was the at risk player holding the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop gave no help to either player and the turn paired the board with the {5-Clubs}. Li would need an ace or a king on the river or he was eliminated and the {4-Hearts} wasn’t what he needed. O’Brien shipped the pot and is up over 800,000 as we are down to 13 players.

Min Jae Park Eliminated in 15th Place ($9,000)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Day 2 chip leader Min Jae Park has been eliminated.

Park was in the big blind and was facing a raise from Shaneel Chand in the small blind. Park went all in and he was snap-called by Chand who held the {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Park reluctantly turned over the {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}.

The flop gave Park hope as he made a pair of fives on the {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} and he received more outs on the {q-Hearts} turn. However, it wasn’t to be as the {10-Clubs} bricked the river and Park was eliminated in 15th place. Chand now moves over the one million-chip mark.

Denis Crushing

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Denis Sekuloski's chip lead continues to grow.

It was a battle between the blinds with Sekuloski and Rined Namroodplaying a big pot.

The action folded to Sekuloski in the small blind and he raised to 51,000 and it was called by Namrood. The {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop saw a quick bet from Sekuloski of 150,000. Namrood would call and see the {7-Diamonds} turn. Sekuloski continued but lowered his bet to 100,000 and Namrood would again call. The river {J-Hearts} slowed down the action with both players checking and Sekuloski throwing over {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Namrood would muck his hand. Sekuloski raked in the chips and is close to 1.5 million.

Ali Ghezelbash Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,700)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Ali Ghezelbash has been eliminated in 16th place.

Ghezelbash had been crippled by an earlier hand and then he shoved for 105,000 in middle position.

The action folded to Thibault Klinghammer in the big blind who made the call.

Klinghammer turned over the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and so Ghezelbash was looking good with his {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}.

The {4-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop was no danger for Ghezelbash, but danger came on the turn as the {8-Hearts} gave Klinghammer a flush draw. Then the “awwws” of the crowd signified Ghezelbash’s worst nightmare as the back door flush was complete with the {6-Hearts} on the river. Klinghammer now moves up towards 500,000 in chips.

Ghezelbash Left Short

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

A raise to 50,000 from early position by Ali Ghezelbash received three callers - Denis Sekuloski from middle position, Rined Namrood from the cutoff position and David O’Brien from the big blind.

The flop was {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and O’Brien checked and Ghezelbash made a continuation bet of 100,000. Sekuloski made the call and the other two released their hands. Ghezelbash checked the turn {6-Hearts} and Sekuloski bet 110,000 and Ghezelbash made the call. Again Ghezelbash checked after seeing the river {8-Diamonds}. Sekuloski thought for a while before announcing he was all in. Ghezelbash went into the tank as he would be eliminated if he made the call and did not have the winning hand. Ghezelbash played with his remaining 200,000 before eventually folding. Sekuloski pushed his two cards close to Ghezelbash and said “pick one”. Ghezelbash exposed the {K-Diamonds} leaving the table and rail wondering what the other card was.

Didier Guerin Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,700)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Then there were two tables of eight.

It was Didier Guerin who fell to the rail in 17th place.

Guerin's final hand saw Denis Sekuloski open from under the gun before David O'Brien three-bet all in for over 400,000 from middle position. Guerin called off his stack of around 15 big blinds from the blinds and with Sekuloski out of the way, Guerin was at risk.

It was Guerin with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, racing against Sekuloski with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Unfortunately for Guerin, the board ran out {7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and it was all over.

Double For Seal

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Action has been slow since the players have been reduced to two tables, but all can change in a matter of seconds.

Emanuel Seal was down to 233,000 when he moved all in and received a call from Shaneel Chand.

Seal held the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and was ahead of the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} of Chand. Seal avoided a bad flop as it fell {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{K-Clubs} but the {A-Clubs} on the turn gave Chand a flush draw. Luckily for Seal, the {6-Diamonds} river ensured he would stick around and move up to 480,000 in chips.
