Coolers Bro

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang started the day seated directly next to the talkative Daniel Levy and told us that Levy said to him that he was going to cooler him today. That didn't happen. Instead, Levy got coolered himself.

We didn't see the hand, but Levy told us that held {7-}{6-} and flopped a straight on a {3-}{4-}{5-} flop. He eventually got all his chips in against one opponent on a {5-} river, with a {k-} having been dealt on the turn. Levy's opponent held {3-}{3-} for rivered full house and that was that as it was all over for Levy.

Chips For Nam

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Nam Le has posted six figures of tournament results here in the Crown Poker Room alone and he is here in the ANZPT Melbourne field trying to add some cash to that resume. We recently watched Le take down a healthy pot on a {8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} board. We had arrived at the action on the turn, with Le betting 1,8000 from the small blind position. Le's opponent was on the button and made the call. On the river, Le bet 2,000 and after plenty of thought, a call was made. At showdown, Le tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, which was enough to send his opponent's cards into the muck.

Former POY Building

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

2012 ANZ Player of the Year Mishel Anunu is starting to build a stack on Day 1b.

We recently watched Anunu take down a pot that started when he opened it up to 600 from middle position. Both the small blind and the big blind called and the dealer flipped over a {7-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop. All three players checked here and an {a-Hearts} was dealt on the turn. This time it was checked to Anunu, who bet 700. The small blind folded, while the big blind made the call.

On the {6-Diamonds} river, Anunu bet 2,000 when it was checked to him. Anunu's opponent tank-called and then sighed and folded when Anunu showed {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Anunu just shrugged and scooped up the pot.
