Day 1 will be split across two flights. Currently 112 players are on the starter list for Day 1A, but that number is sure to increase with late registrations. We will play nine levels today, with a dinner break occurring at the end of Level 6.
APPT President Jeffrey Haas delivered some brief opening remarks about the growth of poker in the region. The players are now being treated to a traditional drum and dance ceremony by some local artists. At the conclusion of this ceremony, TD Danny McDonagh will announce the magic words, "Shuffle up and deal!" and we'll be underway.
