With 24 players remaining it's worth noting that 21 of those players are local Australians. The are joined by one player from Poland, one Canadian and one Kiwi from New Zealand.
Also three of the remaining Australians are in contention for the PokerNetwork.com Australasian Player of the Year award. Jamie Pickering, Brendan Edmonds and Marlon Goonawardana are all currently ranked in the top ten, and a victory here will see them claim the prestigious 2008 PAR title.
