Brown Catches Guitteau

Gerome Guitteau raised to 42,000 from the button and Jason Brown made the call in the big blind.

The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both checked. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and again both players checked. The river brought a repeat {10-Diamonds} and Brown checked for a third time to Guitteau who took a stab with a bet of 56,000 chips. Brown instantly called.

Guitteau flipped {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for just king-high as Brown was well in front with his {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Lancaster Catches The Wrong Side Of Aces And Kings

Ke Sijia is now a force to be reckoned with
With action folded to Richard Lancaster on the button, he popped it to 45,000. Ke Sijia three bet him to 108,000 from the small blind and the big blind got out the way. Lancaster quickly announced all in and Sijia called just as quickly.

Lancaster looked crestfallen as Sijia rolled over {A-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, against his own {K-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} to move a huge pot in Sijia's direction.

Sijia moves up to 1,100,000, while Lancaster drops to 415,000.

Beware The Wounded Walther

Jens Walther
Jens Walther
Action folded to Gerome Guitteau in the small blind who declared himself all in against the short-stacked Jens Walther in the big blind. Walther had around 180,000 chips, and after a few minutes of thought, he declared a call.

Guitteau: {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}
Walther: {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Walther finds a double up with his pair of kings.

"Thank you," chirped Walther.

"You're welcome," was the polite reply from Guitteau.

Two hands later and Simon Watt opened to 38,000 and like a wounded animal Walther bit back once again by splashing all of his chips into the middle "Phil Hellmuth style". Watt quickly folded as Walther flashed the {9-Clubs} and stared down his opponent rather dramatically.

Walther is back up over 400,000 chips.

Preflop, Gerome Guitteau opened to 42,000 and Michael Shinzaki pushed all in from the big blind.

Guitteau asked for a count and the dealer confirmed that Shinzaki was all in for for 340,000 more. Guitteau made the call.

Shinzaki: {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Guitteau: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{10-Spades} to leave Shinzaki drawing thin. The {9-Hearts} turn and {k-Hearts} river were not enough to get him over the line and he becomes the first player eliminated from the final table.

Guitteau takes back the chip lead at 1,400,000 in chips.
