Fresh Counts!

We've concluded another circuit of the room, looking for the movers and shakers. There wasn't a ton of change in the last hour, with Terry Fan still retaining the chip lead. He is closely trailed by Bold Uundai and Brian Bumpas, who so far have managed to avoid butting heads on Table 3.

Celina Lin and Raymond Wu are the last two survivors for PokerStars Team Asia, and both are barely hanging on.

Ivan Tan Eliminated

Ivan Tan - eliminated
Ivan Tan - eliminated

Ivan Tan was in middle position and open-shoved for 22,500. Action passed to Ty Nguyen in the big blind, who asked for a count and then called. Tan's {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} was ahead of Nguyen's {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts}.

"Ace on the flop," Tan instructed the dealer. But it was a king on the flop, {10-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}, to give Nguyen the lead. The turn was a blank, {2-Diamonds}.

"What do I need? What do I need?" Tan asked the table before the river card came down.

"Ace or a jack," Andrew Scott replied. The river was neither an ace nor a jack — it was the {7-Clubs}, sending Tan to the rail.

"Bad luck Ivan," Scott said. Then he added, "And then there were three," referring to a standing side bet among several of the players in the field.

We caught up with Ivan yesterday, check it out here:

Bryan Huang Eliminated

Bryan Huang has been eliminated after clashing with Bold Uundai.

Preflop Uundai limped up, with Huang completing the small blind and Raymond Wu checking the big blind.

They took a {2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, and Huang check to Wu who led out 2,500. Uundai called, and then Huang check-raised up to 18,000. Wu got out of the way, but Uundai called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Huang led 20,000 with Uundai calling. The river {6-Clubs} saw Huang check, and Uundai announce all in.

Huang huffed. "Ok I call, I guess" said Huang.

"NUTS!!!" was the reply from Uundai, who then employed the use of his now trademark slap of the table.

Uundai turned over {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Huang mucked his cards, resigned to the fact that he was eliminated from the tournament.

Table 2 Competing with Table 3

Table 2
Table 2
We've mentioned all of the action and the towers of chips on Table 3. We haven't, however, talked about how Table 3 has shaped up. Chris Demers, Mike Gaertner and Terry Fan are, by our estimations, all in the top ten in chips. They are also sitting in the 2-seat, 4-seat and 5-seat at Table 2, with 130,000, 155,000 and 185,000 chips respectively. We expect to see some major fireworks on that table in the next few hours.

Jonathan Lin Eliminated

Bustaments for Jonathan Lin
Bustaments for Jonathan Lin
After spending the entire Day 1b on the brink of elimination, it looked as though Jonathan Lin may have finally turned the corner, and was ready to make a deep run.

It all crumbled though when Lin got his {8-?}{8-?} all in against an opponent's {A-?}{q-?} and wasn't able to hold up.

He'll leave behind just three members of PokerStars Team Asia Pro in the field.

Huang Moving On Up

Bryan Huang

Ok, we know there are twelve tables in the room. And really, we're trying to report on all twelve. But we absolutely cannot make it past Table 3 without a big pot demanding our attention. This time the combatants were Bryan Huang and Bold Uundai. There were already 20,000 chips up for grabs with the board showing {10-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {k-Clubs}. Huang had first action and bet 14,000.

Uundai tanked for about a minute and a half, then splashed fourteen blue chips (T1,000) into the pot. He then executed his trademark table pound as the dealer burned and turned the river card, a blank {2-Diamonds}. Huang moved all in for 29,400.

Uundai asked for a count, tanked for about two minutes, and then folded, allowing Huang to drag the pot and increase his count to about 78,000. And with that, we're off to watch some hands on any table but Table 3.

Lica Sever Marian Bleeds Some Chips

Lica Sever Marian has had a pretty good morning. He found an early double up to move up around 70,000 and grabbed some more chips from some smaller pots.

Unfortunately Marian dropped a few chips in a recent pot. On a flop of {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds} Marian check-raised to 6,000 over his opponent's 1,600 chip bet. The opponent called and they took a {3-Diamonds} on the turn.

Marian led 12,000 this time and the opponent flat called. Both players checked off the {5-Diamonds} river and Marian's opponent rolled over {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to beat out Marian's own two pair with {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

He still has about 70,000 chips.
