Tom Grigg Busts Anton Blagov

Tom Grigg opened in middle position to 12,000, and found a flat call from Mladen Ivin. Anton Blagov shoved from the big blind for 80,000, Grigg made the call and Ivin folded. Grigg flipped over {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Blagov, {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The flop was {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Blagov took the lead, however Grigg had outs to make a straight. The turn was the {9-Spades}, and the river was the {8-Hearts} and Grigg hit his straight on the river.

Blagov busted, and Grigg is now up to 660,000.

Break on the Bubble

A player has just been eliminated in 50th place, leaving 49 left in the field. With the money at 48, the tournament staff has stopped play and sent the players on a 10-minute break. When we return, hand-for-hand play will begin with 34 minutes left in the current level.

Glazier Mucks to Benton

Aaron Benton raised to 15,000 from the cutoff seat and Jackie Glazier called from the button. The flop came down {10-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {6-Clubs} between the two players and Benton fired 20,000. Glazier called and the {6-Diamonds} hit the felt on the turn. Benton fired 50,000 and Glazier mucked her hand.

Glazier is down to 105,000 while Benton moved up to 227,000.

Brkovic out
Sander Aalders raised to 12,500 and Aleks Brkovic reraised all in for 117,000. Aalders called holding two sevens. Brkovic didn't like what he saw as he held pocket sixes.

The flop was an exciting one, but didn't change much when it came {10-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {6-Spades}. The turn and river were the {J-Diamonds} and {3-Clubs} to send Brkovic to the rail a couple spots from a cash. Aalders is up to 580,000 now.

Caridad Busts with AA

John Caridad was just bsuted by Roel Pijpers. Caridad finished just a few spots out of the money and had his aces cracked by Pijpers' pocket nines.

Preflop, Pijpers raised to 13,000 and Caridad reraised to 30,000. Pijpers called and the two players took a flop of {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {8-Spades}.

Both checked and the turn brought the {9-Hearts}. Caridad bet 20,000 and Pijpers flat-called.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Caridad checked. Pijpers bet all in and Caridad made the call, holding {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}. Pijpers had turned a full house holding {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades}.

Aalders' Aces Take a Blow

Anders Petterson raised to 11,000 from under the gun and William Skountzos reraised to 25,000, having just about 41,000 behind after his reraise. Sander Aalders flat-called from the big blind and Pettersson called as well.

The flop came down {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {6-Diamonds} and Aalders checked. Pettersson checked as well to Skountzos. He moved all in for his last 41,000. Aalders folded and Pettersson folded.

Aalders turned up a sneakily-played {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} while Skountzos had two overs to the board and a gutshot straight draw with the {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}. He'd be looking for his gutshot to hit though in order to double up.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts}, but then the river smacked the {Q-Diamonds} on the board and completed Skountzos' straight draw. He's now got over 150,000 chips.

Stewart Davidson Eliminated

Action folded around the table to Stewart Davidson in the cutoff who moved all in for 75,000. Matthew Pearson pondered a call, but folded (later revealing to the table that he'd folded pocket nines). Action then moved to Jacob Meyer in the big blind who made the call, setting up a preflop all-in showdown:

Meyer: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Davidson: {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board then ran out {6-Spades}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} in favor of Meyer, who took down the pot with two pair, aces and aces, eliminating Davidson from the main event.

Aalders from Day 2

The turn was the {K-Diamonds} and Benton fired another bet, making it 30,000 to go. Aalders didn't back down, calling once again.

The river completed the board with the {4-Hearts}, pairing the board as well. Benton checked and Aalders moved all in, putting Benton to the test for his last 170,000 chips. Benton mucked and Aalders moved up to 535,000 chips. Benton showed the {Jc{ when folding and Aalders showed {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} for queen high.
