Lee Doubles Through Khalil

Dave Lee
Dave Lee
Dave Lee just doubled up through Ali Khalil. The board read {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Diamonds} and Lee's hand was turned face up in front of him -- {K-Spades} {10-Spades}. The river card had yet to be dealt and there was some commotion at the table.

What had happened was Khalil moved all in on the turn and Lee called with the nut flush. Khalil saw he was drawing dead and flung his hand into the muck. Some players at the table requested that the river card be dealt anyway, but the dealer refused to do so, claiming it was not needed. Another player tried to retrieve Khalil's hand from the muck wanting a showdown, but the dealer stopped that as well. The floor was called and it was ruled that Khalil's hand wouldn't be revealed, staying in the muck. The river card was then dealt out and the {2-Hearts} officially completed the board.

Lee doubled to 21,000 on the hand, but not without hearing it from Khalil. Khalil berated him for calling a three-bet preflop with {K-Spades} {10-Spades} after having only 10,000 to begin to hand. It was gathered that Lee raised from the button and Khalil three-bet him from the small blind preflop. Khalil claimed to have ace-king.
