Jackson Zheng
Jackson Zheng

On the turn, the board read {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Spades} between Jackson Zheng and an opponent. Zheng checked the turn and his opponent fired 4,000. Zheng called.

The river completed the board with the {Q-Clubs}. There was about 14,500 chips in the pot on the river and neither player took a stab at it. Zheng table the {10-Spades}{8-Spades} to beat the {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of his opponent and win the pot. Zheng is up to about 77,000 in chips now.

High Rollers Update

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

As mentioned previously, it seems as though only Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis is the only casualty from the $15,300 High Rollers Event following the first hour of play.

Amongst some of the players, PokerStars.net WCOOP Player of the Series James 'Andy_McLEOD' Obst, Brendon Rubie, Aleks Brkovic, Daniel Neilson, Antonis Kambouroglou, Emanuel Seal and David Steicke make up just a handful of the players battling it out.

PokerNews will attempt to keep you updated on all the happenings from the High Rollers - but with the tables located at the Sports Theatre and Bar at the opposite end of the casino - these updates may be sporadical.

Spets Gone

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Roger Spets has just been eliminated from the tournament. He attempted to jam the river on a board of {K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades} with the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, but was called by a player holding the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Set for Vakili

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Reza Vakili
Reza Vakili

Facing a limp, Jackie Glazier bumped it up to 800 from the cutoff with Reza Vakili making the call from the button, along with the limper.

The flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} was greeted with a check, and then a 1,100-continuation bet from Glazier only to have Vakili raise it up to 5,225.

Once the limper passed, Glazier three-bet to 9,600 only to have Vakili instantly respond with an all in of over 40,000.

Glazier mulled over her decision before kicking her cards to the muck while slipping to 18,450 as Vakili soars to 61,000, but not before flashing his {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for bottom set.

Karamalikis Arrives

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis has just taken his seat in today's flight.

Unfortunately for Karamalikis, he was recently eliminated from the $15,300 High Rollers Event, and with plans of playing poker today, opted to take a seat in the Main Event.

Karamalikis may have expected to find his table extremely soft in comparison to the one he was just on, but currently he is seated with Kristina Jeney, Joel Cohen, Kristian Lunardi and Tom Grigg.

Kroesen Chipped Down

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Facing a limp, PokerStars.net Qualifier Ricky Kroesen bumped it up to 550 from the cutoff.

The player from the button made the call, as did the limper to see a {K-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} flop fall and the action check to the button who fired out 1,100.

The limper passed, but Kroesen made the call to see the {2-Hearts} land on the turn and Kroesen check-call a bet of 2,300.

When the river landed the {9-Spades}, Kroesen checked and his opponent pushed out 35,000 - an amount that was more than three times what Kroesen had left.

After a few minutes, Kroesen folded while slipping to 10,725 in chips.
