Stephen Lindeblad

On a flop of {4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, Stephen Lindeblad found himself all in against Esan Tabrizi.

Lindeblad: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Tabrizi: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {7-Spades} and {7-Clubs} to see Lindeblad unable to fill-up, and consequently find himself on the rail as Tabrizi soars to 63,000 in chips.

Ribeira's Hot

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Julien Cohen raised to 1,000 from the hijack seat to start the action on this one. The small blind reraised to 2,500 and Mark Ribeira called from the big blind before Cohen folded, leaving action heads up to the {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop.

The small blind checked and Ribeira fired 6,000. After the small blind called, the {9-Spades} fell on the turn. Another check came from the player in the small blind before Ribeira tossed out 12,000. After a couple minutes in the tank, the small blind folded and Ribeira won the pot.

Ribeira showed the {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and said, "When you're hot, you'e hot." He is hot and he's up to 121,000 now.

Kambouoglou Has Set Flopped On Him

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Antonis Kambouroglou opened to 1,500 from under the gun and was met with one caller from the hijack.

Kambouroglou checked the {Q-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop before his opponent fired out a bet of 2,500.

Kambouroglou deliberated for several minutes before kicking his cards to the muck while slipping to 69,000 in chips.

Fortunately for Kambouroglou, he was ensured he made a good fold when his opponent tabled his {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for bottom set.

"That's How Moneymaker Does It!"

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Somehow, Team PokerStars Pro and 2003 WSOP Main Event champion Chris Moneymaker got all of his money in on the flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}. His opponent held {A-}{Q-} and we overheard Moneymaker say, "Good call," to the player when the cards were revealed.

Moneymaker was at risk and began to remove his headphones and stand up from his seat as the dealer burned and turned the {5-Diamonds}. Moneymaker was about halfway out of his chair when the river card hit with the {K-Diamonds} falling and spiking him with a three-outer.

Moneymaker was at risk in the hand and doubled back to 36,000.

"That's how Moneymaker does it!" exclaimed one of the players at the table.

Priplotski Shipped On

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Roman Priplotski in action

With the action folding round to the small blind, he made it 1,200 to go only to have Roman Priplotski bump it to 3,500 from the big blind.

The small blind made the call before leading for 4,000 on the {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop with Priplotski smooth-calling as the {7-Hearts} rolled off on the turn.

Greeted by a check, Priplotski fired out 8,600 only to have his opponent play the sneaky check-raise play by making it 30,000 total.

Priplotski kicked his cards to the muck to relinquish the pot, but won't be fazed too much as his 39,000-chip stack still sees him in a position to mount a charge at day two. Throw in the fact he recently finished runner up in the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series $550 Main Event for AU$48,000, and Priplotski is full of confidence and skill to make him a dangerous threat for tablemates Hugh Cohen, Michael O'Grady and Danny Huynh.

Obst Victorious in High Rollers!

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Although James 'Andy McLEOD' Obst has been eliminated from today's tournament, he has 150,000 reasons why he won't be bothered too much.

Kicking off on Tuesday with twenty-five players, the $15,300 High Rollers Event before a final table of eight was formed early Wednesday morning.

With only five players receiving a piece of the prizepool, it would inevitably be Obst capturing the title after he bested Jeffrey Lisandro heads up.

Although only lasting ten hands, Lisandro found himself all in holding {10-}{9-} against Obst's {J-}{9-} on a {8-}{7-}{4-} board. The {10-} on the turn ensured victory for Obst as he keeps the title in South Australia after Jarred 'FlopNutsOnYou' Graham captured consecutive victories over the past two years.

Hachem Snaps with Nut Flush

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Tony Hachem

Two players checked the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop before a third player fired 2,500. Tony Hachem made the call and the other two folded.

The {Q-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Action checked to Hachem and he checked behind to see the {6-Hearts} fall on the river. The first player fired 3,700 and Hachem snap-called, tabling the {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the nut flush. His opponent mucked and Hachem won the pot.

"Well, the repeat card just really destroyed me," said Hachem about not betting the turn or raising the river. He's over 30,000 for the first time today, sitting with 31,000 now.
