McKenzie Chips Up With Kings

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

PokerStars.net Online Qualifier Jesse 'On The Mac' McKenzie entered the pot from the cutoff with a raise to 3,500 and only Reza Vakili made the call from the blinds.

The flop fell {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and after Vakili checked, McKenzie fired out a 4,500-chip continuation bet.

Vakili opted to click-it-back by making it 9,000 straight, and McKenzie made the call as the {8-Diamonds} landed on the turn. Vakili led for 10,000 and McKenzie made the call as the {2-Spades} landed on the river.

Both players checked, and Vakili tabled his {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} which were bested by McKenzie's {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} as he moves to 92,000 in chips.

Rubie Guesses Wrong

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Brendon Rubie raised to 3,500 and Yann Pauchon called. "Snap-call!" said Rubie, looking at Pauchon. "I'm going to put you on a hand right now," continued Rubie before the flop came. "Ace-jack," he said as the dealer rolled out the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Rubie checked and Pauchon fired 8,000.

"Ace-jack out-flopped me," said Rubie, folding his hand. Pauchon showed the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Grigg Gone

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Tom Grigg was just eliminated after his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} ran into an opponent's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Grigg flopped a gutshot, but couldn't get there on the final board of {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Watt Crippled, Triples Back, Still Short

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Simon Watt just took a blow that crippled him down to 2,400 in chips. He got all in preflop with two jacks against the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for his opponent. After a queen hit the turn, Watt fell behind and lost the hand.

On the next hand, Watt was all in for 2,300 and up against two players. He held the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} and both of his opponent's held {A-}{Q-}. Watt stayed alive though, finding a jack on the river to keep him in the tournament. He's back up 7,800 in chips.

Hinrichsen Gone

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Andrew "FUZZBUNGLE" Hinrichsen was all in for 17,000 against two players, Mitchell Carle and Mark Rebeira. The board ran through {Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} while Carle and Rebeira checked the flop, turn and river. Rebeira tabled the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} on the end and neither Hinrichsen nor Carle could beat that. Most importantly, Hinrichsen couldn't beat it and was sent packing. Rebeira moved to 103,000 in chips.

Tran Topples Over

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Michael Tran
Michael Tran

On a flop of {10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, Michael Tran led out for 6,300 only to have his opponent move all in for in-excess of 35,000.

Tran made the call for his last 13,500 tabling his {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} to be up against his opponent's {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}

A one-dimple sweat on the turn of the {5-Diamonds}, followed by the {J-Clubs} on the river, would see Tran unfortunately make his way to the rail.

Boxell Busts

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
No repeat final table for Leo Boxell
No repeat final table for Leo Boxell

Angelo Scicchitano opened the button with a raise to 3,600 and found a call by Tyron Krost from the small blind before Leo Boxell moved all in from the big blind for 19,900.

Both Scicchitano and Krost made the call before checking down the {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} board to see Boxell table his {A-Clubs}{5-Spades}.

It bested Scicchitano's {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, but Krost's {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} would provide a dominating kicker to send Boxell to the rail - but not before Krost kindly shook hands with one of Australia's tournament stalwarts.

As last years third-place finisher made his way out of the tournament area, Krost collected the pot to move to 162,000 in chips.
