Yeh Plummets To Rail

Within a few hands Wen-lan Yeh has gone from top five in chips to railbird.

After exchanging a series of raises with Inwook Choi before he was all in, it was Yeh's {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} heavily trailing Choi's {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}.

The final board of {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} would see Choi double through to roughly 200,000 while Yeh would slip to 60,000 in chips.

The following hand after Caroline De Weerdt opened under the gun to 4,200, Yeh moved all in for 60,000 and De Weerdt insta-called once the action returned to her.

Yeh: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
De Weerdt: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The final board read {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades} to see Yeh bumped to the rail in dramatical fashion as De Weerdt climbs to 135,000 in chips.

Graham Gone

Jarred Graham
Jarred Graham

With the action folding to Jarred Graham in the small blind, he moved all in for roughly 20,000 and Richard En made the call from the big.

Graham: {10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
En: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The final board of {Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} wouldn't connect with Graham as he was forced to exit the tournament while En chipped up to 135,000 in chips.

Hachem Flushed Then Full'd To Rail

Tony Hachem
Tony Hachem

"Yes! No!"

That was what echoed through the poker room as Tony Hachem placed his hands on his head in shock.

Quickly rushing over to his table we found that Hachem had check-raised all in on a {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop and found an insta-caller.

Hachem: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Opponent: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The turn landed the {2-Clubs} - and accordingly the "Yes!" - before the {J-Diamonds} landed on the river - and the reason behind the "No!"

Shaking his head in despair, Hachem collected his belongings before shaking each and every player's and on the table before exiting the APPT Cebu Main Event.

With that elimination, Team PokerStars is no more!

Lai Waves Goodbye

Connie Lai found herself all in holding {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} against an opponent's {K-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The board rolled out {8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} to see Lai double through to 27,000.

Just a few hands later however, Lai's tournament would come to an abrupt end when, after a Richard En under the gun open to 5,000, she moved all in from the big blind with En making the call.

En: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Lai: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} to see Lai miss her many outs and wind up on the rail as En climbs to 115,000 in chips.

Cohen KO'd

A happier Hugh Cohen on Day 1
A happier Hugh Cohen on Day 1

Daren Yoon opened to 3,600 from the button and was called by a player in the small blind before Hugh Cohen made it an additional 6,800 to go from the big blind.

Yoon passed, but the small blind made the call to see a {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop fall and Cohen fire out 18,900 following a check.

Two minutes went by before Cohen's opponent made the call only to ship 24,000 on the {3-Hearts} turn card. Faced with an all in bet, Cohen made the call for his tournament life tabling his {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} to trail his opponent's {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Unfortunately for Cohen, the river landed the {4-Spades} to see his tournament end a few tables shy of the money.

Van Marcus
Van Marcus

Van Marcus saw all but his last 4,800 enter the pot preflop in commanding shape.

Marcus: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{A-Hearts} to see Marcus two-outered and crippled.

The next hand Marcus found himself all in from the small blind with Nathaneel Seet making the call dark.

Marcus: {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Seet: {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to end Marcus' tournament prematurely.

Grigg Gone, Young Soars To 300k

Tom Grigg
Tom Grigg

After losing a sizeable pot to Kim Gap Young just a few hands ago, Tom Grigg has seen the last of his chips shipped the Korean's way.

Grigg opened to 4,000 from early position and was met with one call before Young made it 16,000 to go. Grigg responded by moving all in for roughly 95,000, and once the player in the middle folded, and Young deliberated for a few moments, he made the call.

Grigg: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Young: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} gave Grigg a flush draw to go along with his live ace, but when the {8-Clubs} and {5-Clubs} landed on the turn and river, he was forced to head to the rail as Young soared to 330,000 in chips.
