Anunu Slipping

Mishel Anunu
Mishel Anunu

PokerStars.net Online Qualifier Mishel Anunu opened the button to 3,800 only to have Alexander Beeckx three-bet to 12,100 from the big blind.

Anunu made the call, and when the {8-Clubs}{Ks]{10-Clubs} flop fell, also called a 16,000-chip continuation bet.

When the turn landed the {8-Hearts}, Beeckx fired out a second barrel; this one amounting to 34,000.

Anunu paused to deliberate for several moments before opting to kick his cards into the muck while slipping to 95,000. Beeckx would cheekily flash his {6-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a complete airball while collecting the pot to move to 170,000.

Just a few hands later, Anunu would see some more of his chips pushed to an opponent when his {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} was no match for his opponent's {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} on a final board of {2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Anunu is now down to 36,000 in chips.
