One player raised to 9,000 from early position and then another player reraised to 26,000 from middle position. Action folded to Marcel Luske in the small blind and he four-bet to 71,000. One might ask, what range of hands would Luske be doing this with? Well, after the two other players folded, Luske showed that he had pocket kings.
Brian Green had the and had a shorter-stacked opponent all in. That player was Niklas Lindberg and he held pocket nines. The flop came down and not much was there for Green as he tried to send a player to the rail.
The turn brought the , setting up Lindberg. The tournament announcer stated that Green was now drawing dead, but the players at the table were quick to correct him and state that a six could come on the river to make Green a straight. The river was just that, the , and Green hit his gutter ball. Lindberg was sent home in 38th place while Green bumped himself up in chips and now has 240,000.
Matthew Holley had the and called Barbara Rose's all in. She held pocket nines. After a board of , Holley sent the chips over to Rose and was left with just 10,200. On the next hand, things got interesting for Holley.
Holley moved all in from the under-the-gun position for 9,700. Action folded to Alexander Chieng on the button and he made the call. Timothy Cherep raised from the small blind to 39,500 before Mikael Rosen moved all in from the big blind for 107,500. Holley couldn't have found a better spot to get the most bang for his buck. Chieng held his hand up and showed he had the , but folded it quite easily. Cherep then snap-called and held the . Rosen had the in the big blind and Holley had the .
The board ran out and Rosen made a full house with his nines. Holley was sent home in 37th place.
Robin Portnoff open shoved his last 36,300 with , and Mikael Rosen called with . The board ran out , giving Rosen the nut flush to eliminate Pornoff in 36th place. He earns HK$63,700.
Victorino Torres was all in with against pocket eights. His aces held and he managed a double up.
Raffi Cedric was all in with pocket queens and looking good to double up against Wee Yee Tan's pair of sevens. That's until the seven on the flop, of course. The turn filled Tan's boat, and Cedric was unable to hit a miracle on the river, hitting the rail instead. He gets HK$63,700 for 35th place.
Timothy Cherep doubled through Mikhail Mazunin when his hit an ace on the flop and dodged a straight draw to hold against Mazunin's . The hand boosted Cherep to among the chip leaders in the field.
Yesterday, Cherep made a huge laydown to Mazunin in an agonizing pot, helping Mazunin move to the top of the counts and leaving Cherep much shorter. Today, Cherep says he laid down kings. After he doubled, Cherep told Mazunin in not the friendliest of tones, "I know you had aces. You don't have to tell me. I know you did. It's ok cause I'm gonna take all your chips."
Not done with his tirade, Cherep added, "Nobody lays down kings. Nobody in this room. Getting three-to-one, nobody but me. That's how I stay alive." Then Cherep looked up at Marcel Luske sitting two seats over. "Well, maybe Marcel does. I don't know."
...for your chip counting enjoyment. A full list of counts can be found in the "Chip Counts" tab, oddly enough.

Wow, it's crazy out there. There was already quite the pile of chips in the middle when we caught up with the action. Keith "the Camel" Hawkins moved all in for another 45,100, and Victorino Torres moved all in over top. Then Rundulf Gonzales called all in, having Hawkins but not Torres covered.
Showdown
Hawkins:
Torres:
Gonzales:
The flop was pretty clean: . But the on the turn wasn't quite what Gonzales wanted, giving Hawkins a flush draw. Hawkins was packing up and powering down his iPod, but just like that, the on the river put him back in the game. He more than tripled up, while Gonzales took the much smaller side pot, doubling the 29,000 that was left of his stack through Torres. Torres was left with just 35,000.
