Royal Beats Full

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We only caught the glimpse of the aftermath on this recent hand, but we were at the table just in time to see one player being eliminated holding {k-}{q-} on a {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Spades} board. Pretty easy to work out that his opponent held {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for just a little royal flush.

Big Stack Early

We wandered past a table recently and saw that one player was exiting while Dan Park had hit a straight on the river to take all of said player's chips. Park has almost 50,000 and is one to watch early on the day here.

Kim Takes One Off Togookhuu

Erdemtsogt Togookhuu and Dong Kyu Kim were in action against one another on the {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop. Togookhuu checked to Kim and he bet 1,900. Togookhuu made the call and the dealer placed the {4-Spades} out on fourth street. Togookhuu checked again and Kim upped his bet to 3,900. Togookhuu gave it up and Kim won the pot.

775

Angel Guillen

From the cutoff seat, Erdemtsogt Togookhuu raised yo 775 on the first hand back from the break. Team PokerStars Pro and new member to the table Angel Guillen was in the small blind and the only caller. The flop produced the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades} and Guillen check-called a bet of 775 from Togookhuu.

The turn card was the {J-Diamonds} and Guillen checked again. Togookhuu fired another 775 and Guillen made the call to see the {A-Spades} land on the river. Guillen and Togookhuu both checked.

Guillen tabled the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for aces and queens with a jack kicker. Togookhuu mucked his hand and Guillen raked in the pot.

Load Up On Energy

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

You may recall that earlier in the day we noted that Kenneth Wong had apparently been playing the cash games all night before taking his seat in the APPT Seoul Main Event. Well, apparently he's come prepared for this very occasion as he now sits with four cans of various energy drinks.

Waki's Top Pair Good

Two players checked the {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop before Hyesuk Konecne bet 600. Yasuhiro Waki called and Douglas Thompson also called. The other two players folded.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and all three players checked to see the {2-Diamonds} land on the river. Konecne bet 600 and Waki called. Thompson folded.

Konecne showed the {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, jacks and deuces. Waki showed the {Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for queens and deuces to win the pot.
