Huang Slips

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in middle position raised to 800 and Team PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang called from the hijack. The player in the cutoff called, too, and a {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop followed.

The middle-position player bet 1,575 and only Huang called to see the {A-Spades} turn, which both checked. The {2-Hearts} river was checked as well and the middle-position player tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Huang took a lot his cards one last time, but mucked.

Liu Rivers Straight

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante
Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

Xuan Liu is in the field today and ready to make a deep run in this event.

Liu, no stranger to success on the tournament circuit, has final tabled two major PokerStars sponsored live events since she began playing live poker. Liu's first major cash came back in 2011 when she made the final table of the EPT Sanremo Main Event. Liu came just short of making it to heads up play when she was eliminated in third place. Still, she collected a massive payday of $524,705 for her stellar performance.

Less than a year later, Liu once again showcased her tournament poker prowess when she added a fourth-place finish at the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event to her resumé. She pocketed another $600,000 for this performance.

Today, we found Liu once again scooping up chips and prepping herself for what could be a deep run in this tournament. The flop read {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and there were two checks to Liu. She bet 1,000 and the player in the small blind called. The big blind folded and they were heads up to the turn.

The dealer put out the {8-Diamonds} out on the turn and both players tapped the table. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and action was once again checked to Liu. She fired 2,100 and her opponent called. Liu rolled over {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a rivered straight and her opponent mucked his cards. Liu is now sitting on a stack of about 35,500.

Small One For Westmorland

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Jordan Westmorland limped from middle position for 300 and action folded around to the small blind who completed and the big blind who checked his option. The dealer fanned {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and both blinds checked to Westmorland. He took this opportunity to fire 700 into the middle and just like that both of his opponents released their cards. Westmorland is currently sitting on about 19,000 in chips.

Andrey Lobzhanidze vs. Frank Peelen

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Frank Peelen raised to 750 from early position and Andrey "andreasbar" Lobzhanidze three-bet to 2,150 from the small blind. Peelen took a few moments before he called to see a {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Lobzhanidze bet 2,000 and sent Peelen into the tank for about 90 seconds before he raised all in for 12,900. Now it was Lobzhanidze's time in the tank for about 45 seconds bere he slid in most of his stack to call.

Lobzhanidze: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Peelen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Lobzhanidze's ace-high call was tied for the best hand, but Peelen was freerolling. However, he couldn't get there when the {2-Spades} turn and {A-Clubs} river resulted in a chopped pot.
