Cao Wins Big

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

James Mitchell, recent WSOP bracelet winner Preston Lee, and Ngoc Anh Cao are seated at the same table.

The board read {2-Hearts}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs} with quite a lot of chips in the pot already. Both Cao (mid-position) and Lee (hijack) had checked. The player in the cutoff bet 48,000 and after considering his options for a while, Cao called. Lee quickly folded. The cutoff showed {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the missed flush-draw and Cao quickly flipped over {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the turned top two pair to take down the pot.

Lim Makes Finds a Double Up

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The board read {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, the big blind opponent bet 3,000 into a pot around 6,500, Zen Lim raised to 7,000 and his opponent quickly moved all in for more than enough to cover Lim's 25,600 stack.

Lim thought for several moments, but in the end, he made the call and the players turned over their hands. Lim showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for top pair with top kicker and his opponent tabled {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the same pair with a lower kicker but a flush draw as well.

The river came down a brick when the {7-Clubs} hit the table, securing a double up for Lim through his opponents missed flush draw.
