Ho Sends Kyogoku to the Rail

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

The board was showing {j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and there was around 22,000 in the pot. Tatsuya Kyogoku bet 10,000 and Chi Hung Ho moved all in for more than enough to cover the 11,800 that his opponent had behind.

Kyogoku thought for a moment but in the end, called for his tournament life and tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a set of jacks. Ho tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a rivered flush, taking down the pot and eliminating Kyogoko in the process.

Kwon Takes From Ye

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

In a three-way pot to the {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, Kaixiang Ye led out of the small blind for 2,600 and Taewook Kwon was the only caller in middle position. They checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} river paired the board for the second time. Ye now made it 5,200 to go and Kwon came along after some consideration.

Ye tabled {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for the ace-kicker and Kwon claimed the pot with {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Shaykhov Builds Stack

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Yongwei Mo clashed with Irshat Shaykhov and check-called a bet of 3,000 on the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} turn. After the {2-Spades} river, Mo checked and faced a bet of 13,000. After plenty of consideration, she folded and Shaykhov claimed the pot.

Mo and Shaykhov were involved in another three-way pot soon after on which Mo was the only one to pay off a 2,000 bet against a flopped wheel on a jack-high board.

Jun Obara
Jun Obara

Ran Hao Bai called from early position, Kelvin Beattie called in the hijack and Jun Obara bumped it up to 3,100 from the cutoff. Both opponents called and the dealer spread out {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Spades} on the flop.

Bai bet 6,000, Beattie folded and Obara moved all in for around 16,000. Bai called and players turned over their hands. Obara showed {a-Spades}{8-Spades} for the nut flush draw and Bai tabled {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for middle pair.

The {7-Diamonds} came down as a turn card and Obara now picked up a straight draw to go with his flush draw. A {5-Clubs} landed on the river and Obara failed to connect as he was eliminated by Bai's pair of nines.

Mamiya Takes From Ono

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Ruiko Mamiya has remained very active over on table two and was involved in yet another big pot. With 6,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, she faced a bet of 2,700 by Tomomitsu Ono in the big blind and pondered about her decision on the button. After some 30 seconds, she made the call and Ono shook his head, flashed {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a busted straight draw.

Mamiya had that beat with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and raked in the pot.
