A Heavy Jam Takes Down the Pot for Sharykhov

Danny Tang opened to 9,000 from under the gun, Irshat Sharykhov three-bet to 34,000 and Tang called. The dealer fanned out {4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} on the flop and Tank checked to Sharykhov who bet 40,000.

Tang check-called, a {10-Spades} landed as the turn card and Tang checked. Sharykhov instantly pushed in a bet of 225,000 and Tang just as quickly folded, sending the pot to the aggresive Sharykhov.

Irshat Sharykhov made it 9,000 to go and was called by the player on the button. Xiaqing Ji in the small blind three-bet to 32,500 and both opponents called. Ji immediately bet the {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop for 35,000 and that won the pot uncontested to become one of few players so far on at least half a million in chips.

Wongwichit Interupts the Feud of Lee and Fan

Calvin Lee opened to 5,500 from middle position and Tao Fan three-bet to 21,000 in the hijack. Phachara Wongwichit used a time extension on his way to a minute long decision, but would four-bet to 59,000 at the end of doing so.

Lee and Fan both ducked out to the four-bet and Wongwichit took down the pot.

Fan Catches Lee Reaching for a Cookie

Calvin Lee was facing a bet of 15,500 on a board that was showing {3-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and the bettor was Tao Fan. Lee called, the {10-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked to the {k-Spades} on the river.

Lee bet 60,000, putting Fan to the test and Fan would throw in two time extensions before he would ultimately call the bet. Lee tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for a pair of ducks and Fan showed {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for just a pair of tens, but more than enough to take down the pot from Lee.

There was some uproar over on table two and Norihiro Otani sent his stack over to Yasreel Praveen Doddaiavar, his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} were still tabled while Doddaiavar had the winning hand in {q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for two pair on a {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts} board.

"Did he three-bet or just call preflop?" Dong Guo inquired and Doddaiavar confirmed that Otani had just called. Ken Okada then talked through the hand action in Japanese with his fellow countryman, and Otani headed out of the tournament area shortly after.

Tang Sits Down, Starts Stacking Chips

Danny Tang opened to 7,000 in the hijack, Kun Jiang defended his big blind and a flop of {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Spades} landed. Jiang checked to Tang who bet 5,500 and Jiang called.

The {j-Diamonds} hit on the turn and both players checked to the {3-Clubs} river. Action checked to Tang, he fired in 26,500 and Jiang quickly check-called.

Tang turned over {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, Jiang tapped the table to signify a good hand as he chucked his cards into the muck, shipping the pot to Tang.

Hyung Continues to Fire Against Haruta

Steve Hyung opened to 5,500 from the cutoff, Lei Yu three-bet to 15,000 in the small blind and Koichi Haruta called from the big blind. Hyung four-bet to 45,000, Yu tossed, Haruta called and the dealer fanned out {10-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Action checked to Hyung, he bet 23,000, Haruta called and the {3-Clubs} landed on the turn. Haruta checked to Hyung, bet 47,000, Haruta check-called and a {4-Diamonds} hit the felt.

Haruta checked to Hyung, he pushed in a bet of 250,000, which was more than enough to cover Haruta's last 135,000. Haruta took a moment to think, but found a fold as Hyung took down another pot.

Soyza Loses Heaps

With some 125,000 in the middle and the completed board showing {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Xiaqing Ji had moved all in for 122,000 and Michael Soyza asked for a count before tossing in the call without using a timebank extension. Ji turned over {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the flopped flush and Soyza mucked {q-}{10-} for the turned straight to lose a big portion of his stack.
