Mateo Avoids Massive Confrontation

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, Christopher Mateo had bet 21,500 and William Kang, who also started the day with over 200,000 in chips, moved all in for around 209,000.

"Why all in?" asked Mateo.

"I think I'm ahead," replied Kang. "You might outdraw me, but I think I'm ahead.

"I'll show you one card," he offered.

"Two cards..." said Mateo

"No," said Kang, "One card.

Mateo eventually folded and Kang offered his opponent both cards to pick from. Mateo picked the {9-Hearts} and Kang took down the pot.

Yin Was Happy Up Until River

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jixue Yin was just a card away from a crucial double up but unfortunately for him, he is in the rail.

He shoved from under-the-gun with {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and got called from Eugene Co in the big blind with [{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

The board gave Yin a pair on the flop with [{a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, kept him in the lead after the {3-Hearts} on the turn, and he asked for a deuce on the river.

Instead, the {j-Diamonds} was one of the two cards he didn't want to see, sending him to the rail.

Han Triples; Xu Eliminated

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

There was a three-way all-in in progress, with Seong Jin Han all in for only a handful of blinds. He held {j-Hearts}{5-Spades} and was in bad shape against the {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} of Zinan Xu and the {a-}{q-} of Ngoc Khanh Le.

However, a jack on the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop gave Han the chance of a triple. The {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} runout could not save Xu who was eliminated as Han chipped up to just under ten big blinds.

Li Eliminated

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Peili Li was in a three-way pot, with the board showing {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. All players checked the flop, and she decided to shove on the turn's {3-Clubs}.

Her shove was for 33,000 and the next player to act quickly put out of his stack the required chips to call. The third player folded, and Li was in danger with {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} against her opponent's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The {7-Hearts} on the river didn't help her, and she is out of the tournament.

Insane All-In Busts Marquez

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Richard Marquez was all in with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and looked to be in line for a triple up against the {q-Spades}{8-Clubs} of Daji Chen and the {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} of Benson Tham.

The flop {8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts} gave Tham bottom set and Chen middle pair. Chen improved to trips on the {8-Spades} turn but it only gave Tham a full house.

However, the {10-Clubs} river meant that Chen rivered a bigger full house to triple up.

"Holy f**k," said Marquez, whose kings were thoroughly dismantled. "You are very lucky."
