This time he made a move preflop by shoving all in with {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} from the cutoff position, after the hijack's open.

The big blind woke up with queens and snap called, with Mateo pulling a face after his opponent's action.

The board gave him some chances on the flop, but he found no help on the next streets and is out of the tournament. The run-out was {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Qi Xu Chipping Up Nicely

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Qi Xu is having a very good day so far, with more than double the starting stack in Day 2 for her. He is sitting in 340,000 right now, although the only witnessed hand of the day was a losing one for her.

She was three-way in a {3-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts} board from the big blind, with the two other players, button and small blind respectively, checking flop and turn.

In the river she bet 20,000 and she got called by one player, with Xu getting rivered since her {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} lost from her opponent's {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Kang Scores Big Double Through Long

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With 150,000 in the pot already, the flop came {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Meng Long checked to Hogyun Kang who bet 60,000. Long called.

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Long checked again. Kang shoved for 107,500 and Long snap-called.

Meng Long: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Hogyun Kang: {8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Long peered over the table at the flopped full house of Kang and the {8-Diamonds} river could not help Long who handed over a big portion of his stack to the start-of-day chip leader.

Lim Finds Fourth King But Sweats

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Alexis Lim found a great spot to double up when he was all in with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The flop gave him a set of kings when the last king of the deck appeared, but he still had a sweat since there was an ace too, giving to his opponent chances for a better full house.

The final board looked {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, and Lim doubled up after fading all the other aces.

Kang Moves Further Ahead

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With 70,000 chip sin the middle, William Kang checked a {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} board to his opponent who bet 41,000. Kang thought a while before calling.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Kang opted to bet out for 68,000. His opponent snap-called and went to table his hand. However, Kang had already flipped over {a-Spades}{2-Spades} for the nut flush and his opponent mucked.

"Two pair?" asked Kang.

"Better," replied his opponent.

"Better than two pair!" said Kang. "Wow. So you're always calling even if I go all in?"

His opponent remained silent.
