Hogyun Kang Busts Thinh in Massive Three-Way Pot

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Hogyun Kang was in the cutoff and min-raised, getting a call from William Kang in the small blind, while Thinh Nguyen was in the big blind and shoved all in his last 77,000 chips.

Both players called, and there was already a 230,000 pot with the flop coming {6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. William Kang led for 27,000 and Hogyun Kang raised to 100,000, with William calling.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and William check-called a bet for 155,000 this time.

The river was the {7-Spades}, and both players checked, opening their cards.

Hogyun Kang: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
William Kang: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Thinh Nguyen: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}

Hogyun Kang took the pot with his pair of queens, and sent Thinh Nguyen to the rail.

Blockbuster Hand Felts Yuen

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jianlun Sun opened to 45,000. Pang Kwong Yuen three-bet all in for around 350,000. Roger Spets then moved all in from the button for 310,000 and Eran Shaham moved all in for 262,000 from the big blind.

Sun called putting all three players at risk.

Jianlun Sun: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Pang Kwong Yuen: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Roger Spets: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Eran Shaham: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts} giving Spets and Shaham top pair and leaving Sun drawing dead. The turn was the {5-Clubs} giving Spets a flush draw to break the chop between him and his Israeli opponent, but the river was the {9-Spades} leaving both players doubling up and Sun winning a small side pot to eliminate Yuen.

Undai Doubles Through Chip Leader Tran

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Hoai Linh Tran has come from nowhere to sit with over 1.5 million in chips close to the last break in the day. He might have been responsible for the recent elimination of Indian bracelet winner Abhinav Iyer, and even though he just doubled up Bold Undai he is far and away the biggest chip stack in the room.

Tran held {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} of Undai and the {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop looked safe. However, the {6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} runout gave the Mongolian a flush and he doubled to around 275,000.

Sukonthachartnant Eliminated

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Phanlert Sukonthachartnant has by far the biggest name of the field, but his stack wasn't anywhere close as big.

After Tae Hoon Han's raise to 45,000 from middle position, Sukonthachartnant shoved from the big blind for 320,000 chips, and Han snap-called.

Tae Hoon Han: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Phanlert Sukonthachartnant: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The board had Sukonthachartnant already drawing dead from the turn, with the {3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} giving the pot to Han who is up to 1.5 million chips.
