Wu No More After Flip Against Lee

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Down to the last 17,500, Jun Hao Wu was all-in from an early position and Hwany Lee raised to what appeared to be 40,000 in the next seat. All opponents including three from Singapore all folded and the cards were revealed.

Jun Hao Wu: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Hwany Lee: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} runout spelled the end for Wu despite the shouts for a seven by his fellow countrymen.

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Eric Wasylenko raised to 3,000 in the cutoff and Chris Backhouse defended out of the small blind. Both checked the {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {k-Hearts} followed on the turn. Backhouse checked again and Wasylenko then bet 6,000 to receive a call. On the {4-Spades} river, Backhouse checked the third street in a row and folded to another Wasylenko bet.

Huang Doubles Through Penderak

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jan Ove Penderak raised to 3,000 and then called the shove by Vincent Huang for 16,500 from one seat over.

Vincent Huang: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Jan Ove Penderak: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop propelled Penderak into the lead but Huang spiked the {7-Spades} on the turn, reducing the outs of Penderak to four. Nothing changed with the {6-Diamonds} river as Huang escaped for the time being.

Seong Min Lee and Dhanesh Chainani have been eliminated in the meanwhile as Hoyt Corkins more than doubled after a late re-entry.

Natalie Teh

Natalie Teh had just received her dinner and then jammed it in preflop with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. She was called by her previous nemesis Marc Joseph, who had the dominating {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Moments later, Howard Appledorf was ousted with ace-king as the ace-four of Jan Ove Penderak struck gold on a board containing four hearts. Also no longer in contention is Ngoc Quoc Bao Pham as the field dropped to five tables.
