In three-way action to the A♦5♣2♣ flop, Yuhang Chen pushed all-in for the last 6,300 with a main pot about as much. He earned one caller and found his A♥K♥ up against A♠3♠.
The kicker played after the J♣ turn and J♥ river as Chen doubled back to more than half the starting stack.
Krishnan Menon had been eliminated by Dmitry Chumakov and re-entered to a different table. On his former table, Lars Hougaard bet the K♦6♥3♣Q♦ turn and called a raise to 3,100 by Chumakov, which led them to the 10♠ river. Both now checked and Hougaard won the pot with the K♣10♠, as Chumakov grinned and shook his head.
Four ways to the A♥7♥2♥ flop, Ashish Ghosh bet for 1,200 in the small blind. Guillem Segarra Lopez called and Thijs Hilberts in the cutoff raised to 3,700. Konstantin Generalov on the button called for Ghosh to call, while Segarra Lopez folded.
The 8♦ followed on the turn and it checked to Generalov, who bet 8,000 and received two calls. That brought around the 9♠ river and once more, Ghosh and Hilberts checked. Generalov pushed all-in and Ghosh called all-in for 11,900 within a few seconds.
Hilberts was stunned and folded to get shown the K♥J♦ by Generalov, as Ghosh doubled with the A♣J♥. That left Hilberts and Segarra Lopez even more stunned as they all wondered what had just happened.
The dealer announced a seat open after just two minutes over on table three, which had commenced with three-handed action. Jin Woo Kim was the beneficent and recapped the action.
According to Kim, Peter Nilcolle had raised the button to 700 and was called by Kim in the big blind. On a flop containing three queens, Nilcolle missclicked for 5,500 and Kim raised to 11,000, then called the shove by Nilcolle with ace-queen for quads. Nilcolle had pocket tens and was drawing dead, as a 10x turn and Ax river didn't matter anymore.
With a short delay, the action for Day 1b is underway on all tables with at least three players in their seats. Some 18 contestants are registered while the early satellite has three tables running as well.
